Offshore Rig Clerk

Ideal candidate to fill position of Offshore Rig Clerk should be an applicant who by his or her nature would be a self-motivated individual with inherent ability to work under very little supervision and requiring minimum guidance. Offshore Rig Clerk's essential responsibilities comprise performing logistical and clerical duties, as well as doing the accounting aimed to ensure the full scope of the procurement, as instructed by Well Site Leader or Rig Manager.

  • Coordinating materials and equipment logistics to ensure full support and timely maintenance for rigging and production operations at every stage of the oil well living cycle
  • Discussing with the Well Site Leader the effectiveness and the condition of the logistics coordination and taking measures to improve it
  • In course if performing his responsibilities and duties that relate to the offshore logistics, Offshore Rig Clerk is obligated to monitor adherence of the operations to the existing applicable federal and state requirements, restrictions and precautions that regulate delivery and safe storage of hazardous materials
  • Handles and keep record of all field tickets issued and received from the suppliers and contracted vendors
  • Checks whether AFE and pay key numbers are correct
  • Communicates within the scope of his duties with other employees aboard offshore oil & gas installation, third party suppliers and vendors and sub-contractors, including:
  • Cost Analyst
  • Offshore crew members, both drilling deck and oil production floor personnel engaged in the activities requiring logistical support
  • HSSE Advisor
  • Outside suppliers and sub-contractors that fabricate and ship supplies and expendables according to specifications
  • Drilling and completion engineers
  • D&C Technologist
  • People whose job is to provide effective offshore supply chain management so the continuity of the process in never broken
  • Prepares the report of daily spendings and expenses and submits it, as required

  • High school diploma or GED
  • prior offshore experience in the capacity of Offshore Rig Clerk, Offshore Rig Clerk Intern, or Offshore Rig Clerk Trainee on rigs, semisubmersibles, or drillships engaged in deepwater drilling
  • A total commitment to working safely and participating in all HSSE programs.
  • English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel and Open Wells.
  • Must be able to analyze problems encountered during work activity and recommend solutions.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively to complete daily assignments.

Workplace and additional conditions: 14/14 rotation schedules alternating stay on onshore leave and at offshore oil site; frequent helicopter travel to and from the offshore facility involved, to be flown to the offshore facility the offshore employee is required to possess a valid TWIC card.
